My name is Jane Boswell and I am the artist/maker of Cherry Loft Studio.
My background is in Fine Art painting, however recently I have enjoyed working in ceramics, especially semi porcelain, a clay that fires to a pure white and is ideal for bubble underglaze and oxide decoration. I am a member of The Pembrokeshire Craft Makers as well as South Wales Potters. My paintings are inspired by my love of landscape and the sea and these can also be found in my gallery pages. In my most recent work I am exploring abstraction, adding poetry, and expressive mark making to my landscapes and seascapes.
My small ceramic pieces have proved very popular . These are semi porcelain with gold and silver leaf.The sea and the colours of the ocean are also an inspiration here as well as other elements found in the natural world.
All items are for sale. Paintings start at £65 unframed up to £350 unframed. Add £30 + for framing.
Ceramic pieces start at £8 for small bowl up to £65 for a larger bowl. My studio pieces are also for sale from £85 upwards.
